Philosophy/Debating Club

Monday 11th July will be the last session

We are able to offer Years 5 and 6 children  a Philosophy/Debating  Club, run by Mrs Hudyk from St Helen’s.  The club will explore the world of ideas through discussion. Concepts such as Right and Wrong, Human and Animal rights, Justice and many more will be debated in what

is called a “Community of Enquiry”. Stories, poetry, art and popular media, will all be used as stimuli for the discussions.

This will develop many transferable skills: logical thinking, public speaking, argument and date to name a few.

The club is free and will be held on a Monday from 3:45 to 4:45 pm, in Turtle classroom.

Summer term sessions start again on 13th June

and weekly until 11th July.

Letters will come home with your child or can be opened below.
