Our sincere thanks go out to the East of England Co-op, and all those that selected us with their tokens, for the £300 donation they have given us. It will go far in helping the PTA fund all sorts of activities for our children.

Come and meet the whole PTA Committee at our annual general meeting and enjoy a drink with us all!
This year we are excited as so many parents have got involved with the PTA and thus help raise so much money. We are continually looking for new parents to come on board, whether it be for a single or regular events. New parents mean fresh ideas so do come along and enjoy a drink with us too!
We very much look forward to seeing as many parents as possible!

Thank you for all your support for the PTA events that have raised funds to enhance life at St Helen's.

In case you were wondering what our fundraising supports at St Helen's, in the last school year we supported:
-50% of the cost of the Planners for all Year 5 and Year 6 children
-we provided the buses to get the younger children to Sports Day at Northgate
-we purchased sports kit

 Priorities for this year include:
-Some playground activity equipment for all children to use
-equipment to improve the usage of the swimming pool
-planned improvements to play area and outside spaces at front of school


The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a joint committee of parents and teachers of St Helen's Primary School. Our main aim is to plan and organise events that help raise funds for the school to support learning and the school environment. We also aim to encourage close links between home and school by providing opportunities for parents, staff and children to get together. Parents and staff work together to provide fund raising activities such as quiz nights, International Days and Winter fayres, as well as supporting school based events such as providing refreshments for the Key Stage performances and share days. An annual general meeting (AGM) is held at the beginning of the school year where a committee is elected and objectives for the year ahead are set out. We then aim to meet frequently, dates and times of which will be made available.

The PTA is a great way to get involved in your child’s school life and, whether you can help in a big or small way, your involvement makes a difference, even by simply turning up and supporting the events. New members are always very welcome, please contact the Chairperson for more details at pta@sthelensprimary.net . Alternatively you may use the facebook group called Friends of St Helen's School.
