To all of year 5, Miss Shete, Mrs Denny and Mr Parfitt

Hello everyone!

How are you? We are having an amazing time here, but missing you all loads! Is it quiet at school without us? We are stuggling to choose a favourite thing we've done this week because it's all been so fantastic! These are just some of the things we've had fun doing...Lucy really enjoyed going on the steam train yesterday! Dylan loved the steam train too - especially being able to poke his head out of the window! Felicity really enjoyed the Eden Camp - the Blitz hut was really scary but also quite thought provoking! Sara enjoyed the Jorvik Centre and Dig as everything was very real! Dee really liked doing the punting in Cambridge - it was very relaxing, unless of course you were the one doing the punting! Dantay enjoyed the fossil hunting - finding the plant inside the fossil was fun! Masroor loved building a sandcastle on Whitby beach! Oscar's favourite thing was fossil hunting and finding a shell fossil in a rock! We've all enjoyed being independent this week too!

Mr Parfitt we are currently in the middle of a forest thanks to Miss Collins' navigating the coach - only joking, haha!

We are now packing our cases ready to come tomorrow and then it's bed time!

We can't wait to see you all on Monday. We've missed you...we hope you've missed us too! I (Miss Collins) have had a lovely week but missed all my little chameleons!

From Felicity, Lucy, Sara, Dee, Dylan T, Dantay, Masroor, Oscar D and Miss Collins

The picture of Miss Collins driving the coach made me laugh, but then the more I thought about it the more worried I became. Word of warning, do not let Miss Collins navigate on the way back to school. Failure to heed this message could lead to a long journey home. Enjoy your last evening, I can't believe how quick the week has gone for you.

Mr Parfitt

Hello from Mr. Budd

I have just finished a singing rehearsal with the remaining Rainforest Phase, I am absolutely exhausted because I had to sing all the solo parts for you lot who aren't here (if you know what I mean). It went well, and I hope you are all practising your words. Work has started on the giant cubes which will become the large dice for the stage, and they should be ready next week.
You have been involved in two of my favourite activities, learning about Vikings and travelling on steam trains! I hope you enjoyed them as much as I do.  I probably shouldn't tell you this-or Mr. Jarvis can censor this bit, but there is a shop in York, just inside Monk Gate which sells rubber stamps, and you can buy your own camel stamp or Viking stamp... Amazing.  Have a great last day, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all next week.
All the best, from Mr. Budd, Mr. Kiwi and Claude the Camel.

Good afternoon from Bee Class

Hope it's a sunny day!  Looks brilliant, we wish we were there.  We are hoping that you are having a great time and we are missing you.  Make the most of today as you'll be coming back tomorrow.
See you on Monday, we're off to sing!
Love from
Brilliant Bee Class
PS: Hello Masroor and Oscar- so quiet without you Masroor!!!!

Chameleons miss you!

How are you? Are you having a lot of fun? We have been keeping up with you! We have just made some amazing flowers for the production!  They are the size of Mr Jarvis!  We really hope that the weather is nice there.  What have you done today? I hope you're not missing any of our fun lessons here.  You seem to be having a lot of fun this week.  Is Miss Collins having a lot of fun, but missing us too? What has been your favourite activity so far? We hope you have a chance to reply.

We wish you a safe journey home- sounds like a song!!
Love from
Chameleons and Miss Shete and Mrs Denny!

Hello!

It seems like you are all having a wonderful time.  Year 5 looked at the photographs yesterday, but technical issues wouldn't allow us to post a reply.  How annoying?!  We are missing you all very much and can't wait to hear about your adventures.  The punting looked like fun, and the weather was being kind too. Miss Collins, the hot chocolate looked delicious!

As always, on the residential trip, I trust that you are making the most of mathematical opportunities?  How many miles have your travelled so far? How much money has been spent?  How many hours, on average have you slept for?  I also wonder if you'll find a clock that is as fantastic as last year?

Have a lovely day!
Miss Shete- on behalf of Year 5.

It has come to my attention that I have posted in the wrong place...
Aren't you proud of me? (:

Dear All,

All is well at school. Very quiet without Peter! I am writing your reports this evening and am using a thesaurus to find some impressive words!
I hope Oscar hasn't lost himself yet. Miss Collins, I taught the next part of the Ancient Egypt dance today and your pupils were very good! I hope Will's hair isn't too high functioning. Mr Babbs has cut his hair and was cross that I didn't even notice. Gordon Bennett!  Now,the important question of the day... Does Joe have regulation socks on? This is of the utmost importance!  I have spent £200 on costumes for the production today so we really need to raise that money at your table top sale. Look out for things to sell when you get home - not your family members though!

Are there any famous writers from York? Find out for me! Literacy of the day - ding!

I have just been looking at all the photographs you have posted. You look like you are having a wonderful time.
What are the highlights of the trip so far?
What has been your favourite place to visit?
Who is keeping the neatest bedroom?
Who's bedroom is the messiest?
What are you looking forward to the most?
