Mathematics is a wonderfully creative subject that is part of everything that we do. Our aim in teaching mathematics is that all children will become confident learners who enjoy and value the subject. 

At St Helen’s we love maths- even if we have to work hard to succeed. We use ‘The Power of Yet’ and we know that things may take a little time and we may not understand 'yet'.  We encourage all members of our community to talk positively about maths and to acknowledge that even though they may find it tricky, it is a great subject.
