SEND

Striving for EXCELLENCE and EQUALITY through EQUITY and EMPOWERMENT

SEND stands for Special Educational Needs

Our Senco is Mrs Jemma Travis. She is responsible for ensuring that children with special educational needs are identified and supported in the best way we can offer. She will liaise with outside agencies and our staff to plan interventions and personalised learning plans to enable every child to flourish and learn.

The school works with a number of outside agencies such as the Dyslexia Outreach Team (DOT), County Inclusive Support Service (CISS), our linked Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapists, Play and Art Therapists, a linked Educational Psychologist and the Hearing and Visual impairments team.

Please do not hesitate to request a meeting via the school office if you have concerns about your child's learning and progress. It is always good to talk to your child's class teacher first but Mrs Travis is always happy to arrange a phone call or meeting where possible. You can also send her a direct email using the following address; sendco@sthelensprimary.net
